Tour de Shore: Success!
Home \ News \ December 2007
On Sunday, October 7th, Timmy's Tour de Shore for pediatric brain tumor research was held at Fort Hancock in Sandy Hook, NJ. It was a beautiful, warm day perfect for a 2, 10 and 23 mile bike ride. The Tour de Shore was huge success attracting some 450 riders. Many more came out just to enjoy a day of fun, food and entertainment.
Our deepest thanks and gratitude go out to all the sponsors of the Tour de Shore who helped make this day a reality. Thank you to the Middletown Police Department, the New Jersey State Police and Middletown Village School for the support and kindness you continue to show our family. This day could not have been possible without the help of many special friends. Your love and caring has kept our family strong. Lastly, we want to thank the most amazing group of students from Eagles Helping the Community at Middletown High School South. Thank you for donating your time and for working hard. We could not have done it without you.
Timmy's Tour de Shore set a goal and surpassed its goal in raising $70,000 for The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia's Neuro-Oncology Research Department. We are grateful that so many people helped us in our commitment to raise much needed money for continued research of pediatric brain tumors.
In memory of our precious son Timmy, and in honor of all the children who continue to battle brain tumors, we hope to continue to help make a difference. It is our hope that someday there will be a world where brain tumors in children will not exist.
