The Timothy Pauxtis Foundation will award an annual scholarship to a graduating high school senior pursuing a degree in nursing.

The Foundation recognizes the important role nurses have in the care and treatment of pediatric neuro-oncology patients.   Nurses and nurse practitioners play a vital role in the care of children being treated for brain cancer.  Nurses take vital signs, draw blood, and administer prescribed chemotherapies as part of a medical team working in concert together to help our children.  And we simply need more of them.

Timothy Pauxtis was a third grade student in a small school called Middletown Village, located in Middletown, New Jersey, when he was first diagnosed with a brain tumor in November, 2004.  In a tribute to the children, faculty, and parents of Middletown Village School, as well as that of the entire town whose outpouring of love and compassion helped Timmy during his battle with cancer,  the Foundation will target its first scholarship program to the high school Timmy would have attended: Middletown High School South.

About the Scholarship

The Foundation’s scholarship will consist of a single payment of $1,000 to a high school senior upon acceptance into an accredited two or four year college program which leads to an associates or bachelors degree in nursing.

Scholarship Application Requirements

The Foundation when evaluating applications for the scholarship will evaluate the submitted applications using the following guidelines.
