The Timothy Pauxtis Foundation as its primary mission will issue grants to recognized pediatric brain tumor research and treatment facilities to further their work in developing new treatments for pediatric brain cancer.

Purpose of Grants

Grants awarded by the Foundation will be targeted to those institutions conducting research into the treatment of pediatric brain cancer.  The grants are for research purposes.

Criteria

The Foundation has adopted the following guidelines to assess applications submitted for grants to fund a research project.

  • Institutions:
    • Must be a nationally recognized cancer research and treatment facility,
    • Must specialize in pediatric neuro-oncology or have a pediatric neuro-oncology unit within its broader organization.
    • Must be 501(c)(3)
  • Intended use of funds:
    • Funds must be entirely dedicated to the execution of a pediatric brain tumor research program; this includes clinical trial support for such a research effort.
    • The research endeavor should be recognized by the Pediatric Brain Tumor Consortium (PBTC), National Cancer Institute (NCI), or is being conducted for publication to these organizations.

Grant applications will be accepted during the third quarter of each calendar year (July, August, September).  Submitted applications will be reviewed for completeness and acknowledged during this period.
